My name is Jesse Parajeckas, I am 21 years old and living in Orange County, California. I have Major Depression (also called Clinical Depression) and Anxiety, both of these two mental illnesses make everyday unpredictable. In 2014, my senior year of high school, I started creating art to visually express emotions i could not find words for. This became a passion and lead me to where I am today.
The artwork I create comes from the core idea of mental illness, but branches off to question and comment on emotions, identity, conformity, vicarious experiences, and more. This artwork is not meant to be aesthetically appealing, but conceptually deep and personal. I enjoy working with a multitude of mediums, but work mostly with photography as I find it very accessible and easier to experience through 2-D media because most people view art through images rather than in person.
